McDonalds Oxford House

In the closing months of 2020, Step2 Design had the rewarding opportunity to help Red Monkey Play design the first playground for the Ronald McDonald House Charity in Oxford made entirely from recycled Happy Meal toys. This sustainable initiative was driven by McDonald’s decision to replace plastic toys with eco-friendly alternatives, as well as the efforts of two young sisters who gathered over 400,000 signatures against plastic toys in children’s meals.

Using reference photos from site, Step2 Design embellished the concept CAD created for the original Oxford House submission to generate a short 3D ‘flythrough’ animation. The 3D model was initially drawn up using both Solidworks and Sketchup, before being rendered and animated in Twinmotion, and edited in Premiere Pro.
